mountain的意思是山脈，大山，除了有“山”的意思，hill的意思是小山，山岡；斜坡，把…堆成小山。mountains常表示“山脈”通常指比hill大或陡峭的高山。

1. 通常hill的海拔高度比mountain的低，通常是低于2000英尺，看起來像一個“腫塊”，山頂常呈現(xiàn)或丘狀，而mountain的海拔高度最低通常是大于2000英尺。
