表示“雖然”時(shí)，不要根據(jù)漢語習(xí)慣，在后面使用連詞 but, 不過有時(shí)它可與 yet, still, nevertheless 等副詞連用。如：他雖然年紀(jì)很大了，但還很強(qiáng)壯。Although he is very old, (yet) he is quite strong.

although的用法是什么

although引導(dǎo)的從句放在主句前后均可，不能與but、however連用。

1、although的意思是：雖然，盡管；但是，然而，較正式，語氣強(qiáng)烈

He was in love with her, although a man seldom puts that name to what he feels.他愛上了她，雖然一個(gè)男人很少用這個(gè)詞來形容他的感受。

2、although引導(dǎo)的從句放在主句前后、以及句中均可。

although放主語前的例句：

Although the diaminds areexpensive, they last forever and never go out of style.

盡管這些鉆石貴，它們永遠(yuǎn)耐用并且永不過時(shí)。

although放主語后的例句：

It would appear that Milton has stopped addressing the muse, the Heavenly

3、Although引導(dǎo)的從句不能與but, however連用，一般要么存在Although，要么 存在however或者是but.

存在Although的例句：

He often helps me with my English although he is quite busy.

盡管他相當(dāng)忙，但是還常常幫我學(xué)英語。

存在but的例句：The bike is rusty but usable. 自行車生銹了，但還能騎。

存在however的例句：

However hard she tried, nothing seemed to work.

4、Although可與yet, still連用。

與yet連用的例句有：

Though she was busy with her work, yet she managed to find time to stay with her family。雖然她忙于工作，但她還是擠出時(shí)間與家人在一起。

與still連用的例句有：

Although still controversy is ceaseless, but the fact is more strong.

雖然仍爭議不斷，但事實(shí)更加有力。
