詞組in order to里面的to是動詞不定式符號，在使用時to后面接動詞原形，就是in order to do，引導(dǎo)目的狀語；in order that，that后面要跟句子，而且要是完整的句子，在這里引導(dǎo)的是目的狀語從句。

意思是：為了，以便，表示目的，可以放在句首或者句中，to后面要接動詞原形，其否定形式是in order not to（為了不做）。

例句一：He walked around in order to keep warm.——他來回走是為了把持身體暖和。此處to后面跟的是keep，這里的keep就是動詞原形。

in order that和so that意思一樣，用法也是一樣，that后面都是接句子，兩個詞組可以替換，區(qū)別在于，如果是在句首，就不能用 so that，只能用in order that；逗號之后也不能用so that，只能用in order that。

例句：He got up early this morning so that he could catch the early bus.= He got up early this morning in order that he could catch the early bus.——為了趕上早班車，他今天早上起得很早。
