raise和rise在使用時很容易混淆，區(qū)分它們的口訣為：日、月、云、霧、煙、熱氣，起立、起床與起義，物價、河水、溫度計；皆由 rise 升上去。抬頭、舉手、舉重物，再如溫度與水平，raise賓語跟著出，還有音、價與覺悟。

raise和rise的用法區(qū)別

1、屬性不同

（1）raise：屬于及物動詞，后面要加賓語。例如：The price of eggs was raised.雞蛋價格上漲了。

（2）rise：屬于不及物動詞，后面可以不加賓語。例如：The price of eggs rised.雞蛋價格上漲了。

2、意思不同

當表示人或物體從低處往高處“抬高、上升”時。

（1）raise：指人讓事物升高，例句：He raised his hand to wave.他舉手揮動起來。

（2）rise：指事物自身可以升高、上升，例句：He watched the smoke rise from his cigarette.他注視著煙霧從香煙上升起。

3、用法不同

（1）raise：在美式英語里表示薪水的增加用raise。

（2）rise：在英式和美式英語中都可以表示上升、升起或者（數(shù)量等的）增加，而在英式英語里，還可以表示薪水的增加。

rise和raise的用法例句

raise是及物動詞，所以后面一定要接賓語。其主要含義有“升起；舉起；飼養(yǎng)；提出；籌集”。如：

The guesture might come from Rome, when people raise the right hand to show their extolling and respect for the empire. （這一手勢有可能來自羅馬，那時人們將右臂舉起以表示對帝王的稱頌或敬意。）

Many western countries raise and butcher a large number of beef cattle. （許多西方國家飼養(yǎng)并屠宰大量的肉牛。）

The first thing that we did when we conquered the town was to haul down the enemy's flag and raise our own. （我們占領(lǐng)這座城市以后以后所做的第一件事就是降下城里敵人的旗幟，升起我們自己的旗幟。）

rise是不及物動詞，所以后面不接賓語。其常見含義有“上升；增加；起床；反抗；復(fù)活”。如：

The king's cruelty excited the people to rise against him. （那個國王的殘酷激起了人民起來反對他。）

Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. （基督徒相信耶穌在那個星期日——后定為復(fù)活節(jié)——里復(fù)活了。）

The sun heats the earth, causing the air to rise and the winds to blow. （太陽給地球熱量，引起空氣上升,刮起風(fēng)來。）

In proportion as the sales increase the profit will rise. （隨著銷售量增長，利潤也成比例地增加。）
