“國慶”一詞，本指國家喜慶之事，最早見于西晉。我國古代把皇帝即位、誕辰稱為“國慶”。在1949年10月1日我們的祖國宣告成立，這是我國歷史上一個最偉大的轉變。從此以后每年的10月1日都是國慶節(jié)。

從此以后，每年的10月1日就成為中國各族人民隆重歡慶的節(jié)日了。
