parents是單數(shù)還是復(fù)數(shù)

一般情況下是用復(fù)數(shù)，表達“父親和母親”兩個人。若你要表達“母親”或者是“父親”一個人，指一個家長的時候就不要加s了。parent的意思為父親（或母親）；父母親；根源。

1、Children need their parents.

孩子們需要父母。

2、Each unit including the parent company has its own, local management.

包括母公司在內(nèi)，每個單位都有自己的地方管理層。

3、Parent birds began to hunt for food for their young.

親鳥開始為幼鳥尋找食物。

4、This is where a lot of parents go wrong.

這正是很多父母犯錯的地方。

5、When you become a parent the things you once cared about seem to have less value.
