雖然都表示“少”，但few, a few是可數(shù)的, little, a little是不可數(shù)的。a few, a little含肯定意味，few, little含否定意味。

few和little的區(qū)別

1. few 與 little 作形容詞用，都表示“幾乎沒有”，相當(dāng)于一個否定詞。具體區(qū)別：

(1) few 后面跟復(fù)數(shù)可數(shù)名詞。 e.g. few books few students

(2) little 后面跟單數(shù)不可數(shù)名詞。 e.g. little water little food

e.g. He has few friends. 他沒有幾個朋友。

They has little money. 他們沒有什麼錢

2. a few 與 a little 都表示肯定的意思，指“有一點，有一些”。具體區(qū)別：

(1) a few 后加可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)

（2）a little 后加不可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)。

e.g. I'm going to buy a few bananas.

I can speak only a little Chinese.

3. a little 與 little 也可以用作副詞， 表示“有點”“稍稍” 表示“很少”

e.g. ----Can you speak English?

----Yes, but only a little.

This book is a little more difficult than that one.

few、little、a few、a little區(qū)別

few/a few之間的區(qū)別

few 和 a few 雖然只差一個 a， 但意思幾乎完全相反。比如：I have a few friends in the government. （我在政府里認識些朋友），也就是我“上面有人”。但如果你說：I have few friends in the government. 那就說明你在政府里不認識什么人。

所以，few 就是“很少，幾乎沒有”，而 a few 則表示“有一些”，它們都是形容詞，修飾可數(shù)名詞（countable nouns）。

例句：

（1）There are a few things I need to buy.

我得買些東西。

（2）There are few things I need to buy.

我不需要買什么東西。

再補充學(xué)習(xí)一下，quite a few 表示“很多”。

little/a little之間的區(qū)別

再看看 a little 和 little，其實用法跟 a few 和 few 類似。區(qū)別就在于 a little 和 little 只能修飾“不可數(shù)名詞”（uncountable nouns）。

瓶子里還有一些水。

（2）There is little water in the bottle.

瓶子里幾乎沒水了。
